Before You Polish
Make sure nails are clean and dry, some nail polish removers are oily, so wash hands after using remover.
Push cuticles back with and orange stick
Fill your nails before painting them
If polish never seems to stick, try using a Ph balance for the nails (found at beauty supply stores)
Start with a thin base coat if your nails have ridges, use a ridge filler instead. If you have problem nails pick a base coat that treats your problem, e.g. peeling, breaking, etc
Apply a thin coat of polish. Let it dry.
Apply another coat of polish. Let it dry.
Add a top coat. Let it dry. (the drying part makes the manicure last).
Finish by brushing nail oil over the nails to prevent dings and smudges. For healthier nails massage the oil into your cuticles between polish changes.
